"Slammer the Hammer"

Films: Blood and Lace (1971)

Alias: Calvin Carruthers

Type: Natural

Location: Civilized area

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Neutral, leaning on Evil

Summary: Killers are everywhere here. You look into the eyes of most of the folk surrounding this orphanage, and no one is exactly innocent.

History: Ellie Masters has recently been sent to an orphanage after her parents were brutally murdered in their sleep via hammer. The neighboring orphans seem nice, but now she has three very big problems. There's the caretaker, who stuffs dead bodies in a freezer alongside her dead husband. There’s said caretaker's unhinged assistant, who kills rowdy orphans for her. And there's a mysterious hammer-wielding psychopath who might have had something to do with Ellie's plight.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: After killing the caretaker's minion, the Hammer Killer reveals himself to be Detective Carruthers, and he's been stalking Ellie due to HER actually being her mother's killer in denial. He also forces her to marry him. And he's actually her true father. This stinks.

Powers/Abilities: Only kills with a simplistic hammer.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 3-A hammer isn't the most intimidating weapon, but it gets the job done in the right hands. His mask is also a bit unnerving, looking like disembodied wrinkled flesh. Oh, and his motivations are pure scum, too.

Trivia: -This film's working title was "The Blood Secret".

-In spite of the gratuitous violence, this film still received a GP rating at the time. About a decade later, the rating system would undergo a few changes because of this and more.

Whatever bargain the studio execs better make up for the obscurity.

Cleaver or hammer? Good options.

Two maniacs for the price of one.

So...all is forgiven?
